This switchplate coordinates with a black ceiling fan and outdoor light fixures in a new car port I added to my house. This oversize switchplate covered up the chipped brick around the box that a standard plate would not cover.
I used this in a bathroom with all brushed nickel hardware. The darker color was a nice accent. The plate is high quality and blends beautifully in my redone room.

Exceptional quality. Comes with good quality screws and a screwdriver. Were packaged so they would arrive unscratched. Will order again. The covers have a slight reflective quality sometimes they look black and sometimes they look gray - just beautiful.

Beautiful covers, but they are not really black. They are kind of a warm, dark gray. They remind me of the oil rubbed bronze finish. They work for me but if you are looking for a true black you won't be happy with the color.
Just lovely. Not a true flat black, but will go with black-trimmed lighting or wrought iron faucets. These plates have an almost iridescent look to them. They are a soft black, but at different angles look like a polished nickel, a silvery color. Very different look, gives interest to boring black and I love them.
Wonderful product-- just not as "black" as I thought it would be-- more of a bronze caste to it.
