Sorry, No Checks or Phone Orders
We do not accept debit cards, checks, or money orders. We do not accept phone orders or fax orders, and orders by mail (paper or e-mail) will not be processed. Our ordering process is totally automated through our safe and secure web site only.

We are a small internet operation and not staffed to take phone, fax, or mail orders. Our system is totally automated through our web site and all orders must be placed online using a credit card as payment.

Changes to Orders
Switch Hits processes orders quickly and in-stock items are shipped by 3pm CST daily. If we can catch your shipment before it goes out the door, we'll be happy to change your order.
Please send specific instructions to Switch Hits via email at info@switchhits.com . For any items you wish to change, add or cancel, please provide: • Your Order Number. • The Item Number (SKU), Item Name, Configuration and Quantity.
Shipped Orders Can Not Be Changed
Orders can not be changed once they have left our warehouse...a new order must be placed at our web site for any additional or new items. A credit will be given when any original items you ordered are returned safely per our Return Instructions.
Subsequent or Additional Orders
Orders placed at different times are imported into our system as separate orders with their own shipping and handling charges. We cannot discount shipping and handling charges for multiple orders if any part of a shipment has left our warehouse.
We apologize for any inconvenience and hope that in most instances our faster processing times work to your advantage.
Special Orders
Sorry, we do not accept special orders.
Switch Hits represents hundreds of artists and manufacturers who each determine the designs and sizes they offer. And if they make it, Switch Hits will carry it and showcase it. If you don't see a size offered for a switchplate design you like, it is not available nor will the artists accept any special orders.
Special orders may not be necessary.
Many times odd configurations can be easily adapted to fit standard configurations by just changing the electrical device...same function just a different shaped device to fit standard electrical cutouts. Please see our Electrical Devices Guide for more help.
Gift Cards
Our attractive Gift Cards are an ideal way to say "Thank You", "Congratulations", or "Happy Housewarming" or "Happy Anything!" Email Gift CardWe will e-mail the recipient of your choice. If you would like a message or special wording on the E-Gift Card, please enter the details.
Redeeming Gift Cards
Please enter the $ Amount and Claim Number on your gift card in the space provided. Once approved, the amount will be deducted from your order total.
If your order total is more than the gift card, you can easily add your credit card information on our secure server to complete your purchase. Sorry, but there are no refunds on Gift Cards. Gift Cards are redeemable for merchandise, shipping, and tax charges only and have no cash value.
International Orders
The only international locations that Switch Hits ships to are Canada, Puerto Rico, Guam, Northern Marianas Islands, American Samoa, US Virgin Islands and associated regions of these territories served by the United States Postal Service. Your package must include a 5 or 9 digit United States ZIP code, or Canadian postal code, in the shipping address.
Sorry, we are unable to ship to international addresses other than those locations mentioned above.
Discounts
Switch Hits is a retail operation only with very competitive pricing and not in a position for discounting our unique products. However, Switch Hits is pleased to offer a 10% discount on switchplate orders of $1,000 or more and 20% on switchplate orders of $2,000 or more (before tax and shipping). Multiple orders, changes to original orders, and additional items do not qualify for a discount. Customers must request a discount by adding a note in the comments section of their shopping cart before placing their order.
Made to Order Switch Plates
Though Switch Hits stocks over 280,000 switchplates that are ready to ship, we also offer high-quality made-to-order items that are not kept in stock but crafted once we receive an order for them. Generally, these collections feature hundreds of different pattern, color, or size combinations -- too many for us to keep in our warehouse.
When Will Made-to-Order Items Ship?
We list all approximate shipping time frames prominently on each item's page, and on the shopping cart confirmation page you see before you place your order. Some artists make and ship made to order items within 1 week while another artist can take up to 8 weeks for his/her handmade, one-of-a-kind pieces. The average is 2-3 weeks, but again, this is listed on the pages for these items.
Made-to-Order items mostly come from small studios where the artists much prefer to work their craft rather than answer shipping questions. (And the more questions we send them, the more they are away from their workbenches!) Therefore we can't be more specific about shipping dates with made-to-order items.
Made-to-Order Return Policy
The great variety and unique nature of our made-to-order items makes reselling particular designs in particular color and size combinations extremely difficult. Therefore, we have established a special made-to-order return policy.
- Based on thecraftsmen we work with, some items are NOT RETURNABLE and marked as such on each particular product page.
- All other Made-to-Order items returned will have the following restrictions: A maximum of 2 items of any configuration may be returned with no restocking charge. For larger orders, the two smallest configurations will have no restocking charges...all other returned items will have the following restocking charges less shipping charges.

Our Advice
These Made-to-Order switchplates are so unique and attractive we know you deserve and will like them. Just use a bit of caution when you first order — order one or two of the style and colors you like. When you receive your first shipment and absolutely love them, you can then order for the rest of your home without any trepidation.
Discontinued Items
Our artists enjoy creating exciting new switchplate designs for our Switch Hits customers. They may also decide to discontinue a product or to make products other than switchplates. When this happens, we will clearly alert you on that product's page that the artist has discontinued the item and we'll provide you with the quantity of each configuration that we have left in stock. Be assured that discontinued does not mean 'second-rate' or 'defective'. Though we only stock these switchplates in limited quantities, our Switch Hits Guarantee still applies to these products. So order carefully and be sure you get what you need, because that item might not be there the next time you visit us.
Free Ground Shipping on All Orders over $99 within the continental U.S.
Free shipping is a shipping option at checkout. Offer does not apply to flat rate shipping or express shipping. Not valid on orders shipping to Canada, or Puerto Rico. All orders that received complimentary shipping (orders over $99) are subject to original shipping costs deducted from the return credit.
Immediate shipping on most orders
All orders for in-stock merchandise placed prior to 2 pm Eastern Time (ET), Monday through Friday, should be shipped the day your order is placed. All orders for in-stock merchandise that are placed after 2 pm ET on Friday, Saturday, Sunday or holiday will leave our warehouse the following business day.
No Multiple Shipping Charges
Should your order include multiple shipments because of made-to-order items or backordered items shipping at a later date, you only pay your original shipping charges. There will NEVER be additional shipping charges for multiple deliveries.

Post Office Boxes
We ship most of our in stock switchplates through USPS, which will deliver packages to PO Boxes. However, there may be circumstances in which we will need to ship your order through a different company. If your primary mailing address is a PO Box, please provide us with a street address in the Comments section of the Information page to prevent a delay in processing your order.
If your order contains Made To Order items, you must provide us with a proper street address. The artists who ship those products choose their shippers independently and UPS and FedEx will not deliver to PO Boxes.
Canadian Shipping Details
Canadian shipments are $39.00 plus $1.00 U.S. per item. We ship Canadian orders via the United States Postal Service Priority International Mail, a service which does not include a tracking number. We do not ship any Canadian orders via USPS Express Mail, UPS or FedEx.
Tracking numbers for Canada orders are provided and can be tracked at USPS.com until it reaches the border. From there on out, it can be tracked at Canadapost.ca.
- Canadian duties, taxes and brokerage fees on items shipped to Canada are established by Canadian Customs and are the responsibility of the recipient.
- Anything over $20.00 CAD (including gifts) will be subject to Customs fees.
- Taxes, PST GST, will vary based on the province to which the items are shipped.
- The duty is determined by the value of the merchandise which is also determined by Customs.
- As part of the NAFTA, all items that are made for the USA will be duty free - however, they are still subject to PST & GST taxes and brokerage fees.

International Shipments

Shipping Confirmations
After you enter your shipping and payment information, you will be able to confirm and edit your shipping and billing information, gift message, comments and the items you have ordered. Once you are satisfied that everything looks good, you can click the Submit button under the Order Summary to place your order.
You will receive 3 emails from Switch Hits. The first will confirm that we have received your order. Once we fill your order, we'll send you notice that it's on its way. Lastly, you can expect an email with your shipment information, including the tracking number to follow your package online.
We may send you other emails if there are questions or problems with your order, or if your order includes made-to-order or backordered items.
Returns & Exchanges
We ask that you package returns securely to ensure they reach us in good condition. Once we receive your return, we’ll issue a refund to your original payment method within 5-10 business days. Items returned damaged won’t be eligible for a refund.
If you receive any damaged items, let us know within 7 days, and we’ll make things right.
For returns after 30 days, items in sellable condition will be refunded via a Switch Hits gift card. Unfortunately, we can't refund or return non-sellable items.

Return Packing & Shipping Instructions
- Items should be protected with bubble wrap or packing paper on all sides, top and bottom, in a sturdy corrugated carton.
- To avoid scratching which would void refund, please be sure screws are packaged separately and on the backside of the switchplate, not touching another switchplate's front.
- Always stack breakable switchplates vertically, like a glass window.
- Do not lay ceramic switchplates horizontally on top of each other in the shipping box like a stack of pancakes.
- Multiple items should be snuggled together in the center of the box.
- Packing switchplates from corner to corner in a box will often give more room for protection.

Defective Item
When considering defects, please remember Switch Hits specializes in handcrafted items. Due to the handmade nature of our products, variations in cut, finish, and color are common and should be expected — eachswitchplate is a unique piece of art. When we expect variation in a particular switchplate line, we do our best to keep the look of the switchplates in your order as consistent as possible.
Some of our artists make very unique products...by hand. Sometimes they are not "perfect" like a manufactured plate. Having a uniform, factory look is not possible for many designs. We make no excuses for our quest to give you the broadest selection as possible. We consider these crafted imperfections as character.
Damaged Shipment
Our shipping department takes great care and uses the finest packing materials to protect your shipment. We have a great track record with minimal shipping damage. However, some of our items are fragile and even the best of intentions fails us.
If you receive any item in damaged condition, please contact Switch Hits' Customer Service through our convenient contact form. On the form, please provide the email address you used to order your switch plates, as well as your order number, and any other relevant information.
DO NOT RETURN THE BROKEN ITEM to Switch Hits until you hear back from us. Sorry, we can not reimburse return shipping charges unless the damaged return is authorized. We request that you keep the package and packing materials for 5 working days in case our shippers (USPS and sometimes UPS) need to inspect the damage.
In the meantime, we will replace your damaged item as soon as possible.
Our apologies for any inconvenience.
Wrong Item Shipped
Our shipping department takes great care packing your order. However, we realize that sometimes the human error factor creeps into our operation. In the unfortunate event that we processed your order incorrectly or shipped you a wrong item, we will gladly replace it immediately.
We'd love to get the wrong item back and will enclose a return shipping label when we send the correct item.
DO NOT RETURN the wrong item and expect reimbursement (especially our Canadian friends) without prior authorization. please contact Switch Hits' Customer Service through our convenient contact form. On the form, please provide the email address you used to order your switch plates, as well as your order number, and any other relevant information.

Incorrect Address on Order
If you notice the shipping address is wrong on your order, please contact Switch Hits' Customer Service immediately through our convenient contact form. On the form, please be sure the email address you used to order your switch plates, as well as your order number, and any other relevant information so we can locate your package. If the package has not left our warehouse, we can readily change the address.
FYI, the Switch Hits system is totally automated which means the shipping address entered into our web site shopping cart is automatically transferred to the shipping label...we never manually touch or change any addresses unless we receive special instructions.
Orders already shipped
Once your package has left the Switch Hits facility, the delivery address cannot be changed en route. If you have a backordered item and have moved in the interim, or want the package delivered elsewhere, you will need to contact the postal carrier or post office in that area. You can track your package at www.usps.com with the tracking number that we emailed you. We recommend that you don't rely on change-of-address forwarding orders to receive your package.

Returned Shipments
If your package is returned to Switch Hits, we will contact you to verify the correct address. If you provided an incorrect shipping address, we will make the changes and reship the package. However, we will need to assess your account the appropriate additional shipping charges. The Postal Service considers this a new delivery and does not give deals for wrong addresses therefore extra shipping charges will apply.
