Switch Hits Care
-
Matching Screws
- We provide #6-32 screws for all switchplates. For color-matching screws, you can use a marker or nail polish for touch-ups.
-
Screws Aren't Lining Up
- Loosen the screws on the switches slightly to adjust their position, then align with the switchplate. Tighten screws alternately to avoid over-tightening.
-
Screws Too Long or Too Short
- Nylon screws can be trimmed with scissors. For metal screws, contact us for replacements. If screws are too short due to wall modifications, we’ll send longer ones.
-
Switchplate Doesn’t Lie Flush Against the Wall
- Adjust the screws on the electrical box to align the switch. If the issue persists, it may be due to recessed electrical boxes or handcrafted plate variations.
-
GFI Rocker / Decora© Plates
- Our plates fit standard 1.25" x 2.5" rectangular openings. They’re compatible with GFI outlets, Decora© switches, and more. Available in single to 6-gang options.
-
Odd Configurations
- If you have a unique setup, send us a photo or layout. While we don’t offer custom plates, we can suggest solutions like rearranging switches for standard configurations.
-
Oversize Plates
- Oversized plates are available to cover large holes. Use the Oversize Tool linked on our site.
-
Flippable Switchplates
- Many designs can be rotated 180° to fit your setup. Look for the double arrows symbol.
-
Switch is on the Wrong Side
- Check for flippable plates or consider rearranging your electrical devices for a standard configuration.
-
Variation in Color/Finish
- Handmade items may have slight variations in color, texture, or finish. These are part of their unique charm.
-
Warped Switchplates
- Due to handcrafted processes, some plates may not be perfectly flat. If this is bothersome, returns are accepted following our Return Instructions.
