Used for our bedroom remodel. I ordered slate in 3 colors. The purple is such a rich and remarkable color. Construction is top notch, and matching screws help tie it all together. Couldn't be happier!
These seem like high quality slate switch covers, but I would have been happier if the colors were a bit more varied (such as what you'd find on a slate table). These are really all one shade, and a dull one at that. But they are unique and look nice enough in our living and dining rooms.
I am re-designing my kitchen and these plates were exactly what I was looking for to match my slate backsplash. This is my second order and will bookmark this site for future orders!
The cut out on the back may not fit all electrical units. My outlets with dimmers don't work. I did apply a slate sealer which protects them and brightens the color.
I love the product, great color, subtle. I wish there was more variation in the color and texture of the slate.

We just remodeled our great room and used the purple slate switches throughout. They are high quality and fit nicely with the decor. If there is any texture on the walls other than flat they may not be the best fit as they are like that on one wall, but it doesn't bother us.[...]
I use these in my kitchen. They are a very nice slate, can be marked on with chalk and are an unusual accent - with intersting texture and contrast our glass tiles well.
